Found guilty of stealing a bay gelding, the property of Peter Smith of Great Eling, Essex. A verdict of acquittal was returned. The prisoner was again put to the bar on the following day, charged on another indictment with having received the horse knowing it to have been stolen. He was found guilty on this charge, and sentenced to 14 years transportation
